Why I like Splatoon

I love Splatoon 3. Here’s what I think of the game. One of the reasons I like Splatoon so much is because of it’s creativity. Set in a post apocalyptic earth where humans have gone extinct, and cephalopods have taken over. Your character is a cephalopod, having a choice between a Squid (Inkling) and an Octopus. (Octoling) I play as an Octoling. It doesn’t matter what you choose, the only differences are visual. There are two modes; singleplayer,(Story Mode) and multiplayer, involving other players. You need Nintendo Switch Online to play multiplayer. Multiplayer modes are split into 2 groups; Casual and Competitive. Turf war is a casual mode. Turf war is a mode where two groups of four battle with selected weapons, trying to paint the map within 3 minutes. Competitive, AKA Anarchy is a mode unlocked once your character reaches level 10. Anarchy battles have many types. There’s clam blitz, where you collect clams and score, there’s tower control, where you ride the tower to victory, splat zones, where you ink the zone, and keep it inked until the time runs out, and rainmaker, where you carry the rainmaker to the checkpoints. When your rank (level up via anarchy battles only) gets to S+ 500, you can play X-Rank battles. X-Rank is the hardest of anarchy battles. You can only battle with other X-Rankers.

Singleplayer

Singleplayer mode is, as the name suggests, singleplayer. You do not need Nintendo Switch Online to play the Story Mode. Your goal is to get every level done, while also completing the main goal, which depends on your game. In Splatoon 2, your goal is to find and rescue Callie, one of the Squid Sisters. In Splatoon 3, your goal is to find and rescue Cap’n Cuttlefish from the clutches of the mammalians. The main enemies throughout the whole singleplayer are called “Octarians”. These are another breed of cephalopod, which come with armor, and later on, more abilities, such as jumping higher. The Octarian troops are led by their leader, D.J. Octavio. Every game has you fight D.J Octavio.

Below I will show pictures of idols in every Splatoon game, along with descriptions for each one.
